Velocity Invitational recently invited Matt Farah to hop behind the wheel of Parnelli Jones’ legendary Boss 302 to experience velocity first hand.
From The Smoking Tire YouTube channel:
“Parnelli Jones is one of the most iconic American racing drivers of all time, and when driving his Bud Moore – prepped Trans Am Mustangs was positively dominant in the 1969 and 1970 seasons. This is one of those Mustangs. Campaigned for four races in 1970, this Ford Mustang Boss 302 Trans Am makes 540 horsepower from a Moore-built 5.0L engine. It has a four-speed transmission, no power steering, and very wide vintage slick tires. It is worth well over a million dollars, and I got to do a 20 minute session on Thunderhill East, a big, fast, flowing circuit in Northern California.”
